At Quora, we are proud to have employees representing three different countries within the APAC region. Whether you’re from Bangladesh, India, South Korea, or Thailand, we have a strong presence with remote teams across various functions like Sales, Customer Success, Engineering, People, and more.

We understand that many employees in the APAC region work in opposite hours compared to the majority of the company. To ensure inclusivity and foster a strong sense of community, we prioritize accommodating the time difference. We regularly organize APAC time zone friendly Q&As, social events, and All Hands viewings, allowing our APAC-based employees to actively participate and engage with the company regardless of their time zone. We believe in creating a supportive and inclusive environment where every employee's voice is heard, no matter where they are located.

Additionally, for our India-based employees, we recognize the importance of cultivating a collaborative work environment that goes beyond virtual interactions. Alongside in-person and virtual meet-ups for celebrating various holidays and events, we have physical workspaces specifically for our Sales team. These dedicated spaces provide our sales professionals with the convenience of meeting clients based on requirements, ensuring they have the flexibility to work seamlessly from both the office and the comfort of their homes. This approach reflects our commitment to providing the optimal work setup for our diverse team, fostering productivity and enhancing the overall employee experience.

Our presence at Quora extends throughout the EMEA region, where we are excited to have employees from countries such as Ireland, the United Kingdom, Egypt, Estonia, Germany, Nigeria, Poland, and beyond. Our EMEA teams cover a range of crucial functions, including Engineering, Product Operations, Sales, and People, ensuring a well-rounded and collaborative approach to achieving our goals.

Our EMEA employees shape their schedules to accommodate our company wide coordination hours of 9am to 3pm Pacific Time and find the additional hours necessary to complete their work at a time that works for them and their teams. By aligning with these hours, they gain the advantage of overlapping with our NA and APAC teams, providing ample opportunities for cross-functional collaboration, knowledge sharing, and efficient decision-making. While still working additional hours to deliver high impact at work, this schedule can be a unique opportunity to have some part of mornings or afternoons to pursue other passions or complete personal tasks. As one of our EMEA team member shares, “Because of coordination hours, I generally have most of the morning to pursue whatever I like. I can be flexible with my schedule, go to the gym, hang out with friends, have lunch, or do whatever I need to do when I need to do it. I then log on early afternoon and review what needs to be done for the day before jumping in to meetings with different stakeholders and colleagues around the world.”

With a thriving employee base in Dublin, our team members have the unique opportunity to connect both in person and virtually, fostering strong relationships beyond the workplace. Whether it's grabbing a coffee or organizing team outings, our employees enjoy the benefits of building meaningful connections outside of work. This combination of in-person and virtual interactions creates a dynamic and supportive community within our company.

Quora was founded in Mountain View, CA where we have a dedicated office space for our employees who prefer working in a physical setting. Working from our office provides the opportunity for in-person collaboration, fostering stronger connections and seamless teamwork. While we embrace remote work flexibility, having an office space allows our employees to experience the benefits of face-to-face interactions and the energy of a shared workspace if they so chose.

With the majority of our company residing in the NA region, you'll likely find yourself surrounded by fellow employees in close proximity. This proximity offers exciting opportunities to connect, whether it's meeting up for social gatherings, sharing recommendations for local spots, or even collaborating in person at nearby coworking venues.
