Where are you located and what’s your favorite thing about your city?

I am located in Sunnyvale, California. The place is peaceful and the weather is great (most of the time).

What is your role at Quora and what do you do in that role?

I am a Software Engineer in the Content Ranking team. I make improvements to the content recommendation system.

Why did you chose to join Quora?

I am a Quora user and wanted to contribute to improving Quora.

What kind of impact does your team have on the company as a whole?

My team manages the algorithms that decide what content to recommend to the user. We use machine learning and experimentation to align the recommendation system with your interests.

Which of the core values at Quora do you resonate with most and why?

Quora is a lean company. We need to be strategic on the improvements we want to make. This is where pragmatism comes into play.

What do you like to do outside of work?

I watch anime, and I am planning to write a light novel someday. I also participate in competitive programming.
